Harrigan''s 5k at Harrigans Tavern, Kettering OHIO - Saturday, March 23, 2013 *** Whether you''re just lacing up the running shoes for the year or you''re in the mood for a nice early-morning challenge, you can get a good run in for a good cause at the Harrigan''s 5K March 23 &&& 100% of event proceeds benefit four charities that provide direct services to the Miami Valley *** Named for Harrigan''s Tavern, the Kettering bar which is near the beginning and end of the race, it''s a fundraiser that benefits four local charities, including Alzheimer''s Association of Dayton, United Rehabilitation Services of Greater Dayton, South Community Behavioral Healthcare, and our
local chapter of the JDRF - Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation *** Not only is there a good workout to be had, but the first 450 particpants get a T-shirt, and there are awards for age groups and the top three finishers. The race will be chip-timed so casual runners and
competitive types alike will find something to enjoy *** Race day registration begins at 7:30
